Brian Diaz is a Colombian native with Italian roots and a genuine passion for hospitality. Brian began his journey in Colombia working at his family’s restaurant. At the age of sixteen, with a thirst for adventure, he embarked on a journey to Sydney, Australia. While there he learned three languages and absorbed the eclectic mix of cultures of that faraway land. He then began traveling through Europe, ultimately obtaining a degree in Business and Sales Management.
After 4 years he relocated to Miami and began working for a small Italian restaurant. Soon after, Brian joined the Florida outpost of New York City’s famed ‘Il Mulino’ restaurant working initially as a bartender. Brian took this opportunity to learn the ins-and-outs of every position. 8 years later; ll Mulino opened a new venue and Brian Diaz was promoted to General Manager. Brian Diaz continues to develop an outstanding ability to lead a team, demonstrating the capacity to exceed expectations and provide exceptional customer service.
After 10 years Brian decided to make the next step when he learned of the fine dining restaurant and roof deck lounge being built by the principals behind “Three” & “No. 3 Social” and guided by the Florida culinary icon Norman Van Aken. He sought out a position on the team and joined Southbound Hospitality as their General Manager.
